Saw this on my FB feed, thought it was pretty wild. Whoever built it has giant balls and an incredible view! Love the rope access. After you get past the initial awe, I must admit it’s sort of an eyesore and I’m curious if and when the authorities will remove it. Wild sight in the meantime

Looks to me like it's badly in need of seismic retrofit...
Are you pondering what I’m pondering?

That thing is wild. Whoever is building it has done a lot of work over the last year. I saw it trolling the area for salmon last year and it was maybe a quarter the size it is now.

Cheers,
Brad

People caling for someone to ear it down. I think the ighty Pacific will ake care of that no problem come this winter. If it's really made from all driftwood I guess that's cool.  If it's made with other stuf that's gonna become new trash on the beach, it's not cool.  Transient doesn't mean not fun or cool!

Yep. The dark rock is indicative of water going up that high. That thing won't last too long I suspect.

Interesting building but I'm not a fan of what looks like a homeless encampment on the coast. Keep it natural.

I've seen the dude who was living there a few years back and thought he was just some hermit who wanted a good view. Seems like he's been making it more elaborate year after year.

I wonder if the waves will claim it, seems to me that if it survived last winters intense weather, it may be just out of reach of the wave action
