I push my mirage drive pretty hard and usually go through a chain or two and a fin mast or two each season. I haven't seen this video posted before but it works and gives you a bit more life out of some of your chains.

Has anyone ever had a chain break? I’ve had a lot of cables break, fray, or rust, but I’ve never had any trouble with a chain.
Are you pondering what I’m pondering?

That seems to be my issue too. Was hoping the video would give links to the connector pieces, haha.

I guess I could have googled it before...

Threaded Cable Tensioners, 10-Pack Stainless Steel Cable Threaded Terminal Tension Stud Ends Fitting for 1/8" Cable Railing Rigging Systems Wire Rope Connectors https://a.co/d/fd5ZHcR

Not sure offhand what the diameter of the cables are, but these are easily available in many sizes. Next time I have a break, gonna make my own damn cable, haha.

If you give them a try, be sure to post, but I don't think those will work.

I also recently saw a post regarding 180 roller bearing replacement bearings which looks super interesting. Ive been using some pvc pipe but this looks like a legit fix.
