Lake Sonoma Zero

The Bodega Gang hit Lake Sonoma today and we got hit back! No hits no runs no errors. It was a great sunny day on the lake. We had pertfect weather but no fish,

The new tank works great for minnows ,hope to be testing out other baits soon.

Did you see any pigs?  Bowhunting for pigs should open back up late next month, and I will be there chasing them in my yak!

Too bad on the NO HOOKS..Good deal on the BAIT TANK! the place looks CALM! the one time i was there it was blowin pretty good(which i hate) are those trees in the MAIN LAKE area?  i can smell the slime from here!

Not to hijack this thread but, I called the office at the lake today and they told me they wouldn't have any info out on this years pig hunts until Oct. 4th.  I am really looking forward to kayak bowhunting the lake this year.  I made it out 2x last year.  I know that ChuckE is good to go too.  Keep in touch and we'll get on em this year.

if you guys manage to take a pig from a kayak, i will be VERY impressed.

bigeyedave and ChuckE, sounds like a plan... a little bowhuning, a little kayaking, a little fishing, a little camping... it doesn't get much better!  Maybe Mooch can come and be camp chef... something tells me he knows his way around a pork tenderloin!

cpkayak, speaking for just myself, I'm not intending to actually shoot my bow from the yak... just using the yak to access some remote spots and to haul the pig back to the boat ramp should I be sucessful at sticking a squealer!  Also, it's illegal to discharge any weapon at game animals from a boat while under power (motorized or people powered or sail).

Once the hunting dates are set lets get thread started and a trip together...

I'll start a thread as soon as I know more info.
