Lobster Season Opening Change

I just noticed lobster season opening day has changed to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29, 2023, instead of the following Saturday morning.

Season start time
The 2023-2024 recreational season will start at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29, 2023, and will run through Wednesday, March 20, 2024. This start time is 12 hours earlier than prior years. The recreational season will now open each year at 6:00 p.m. on the Friday before the first Wednesday in October, and close at 11:59 p.m. on the first Wednesday after March 15.
