Went up to Donner State Park last Monday.   Arrive in huge rain storm.    Even the people on I-80 were driving sensibly.   Fished China Cove area for two days.   Fish finder failed on 2nd day.   Kept turning off.   Not battery.   No trout on Brass Thomas Boyant, and pink Kokanee lure on lead core.   Did not make any schools of Kokes.   Did accidentally flip a brand new Kokanee jig in to the lake while setting up.   $5 cry.   Thursday, kayaking, not fishing, the slough leading to the outlet, as lake was white caps.   Campground was maybe 1/2 full with school starting.

Sorry to hear about your "Kokanee jig".  Thanks for the report Califbill.
