Hey y'all,

Great to be here! Have learned lots from lurking and reading this forum.

I'm just getting into kayak fishing (pescador pro 12) after doing a lot of fishing and spearing from an iSUP. Have a fair amount of experience on the north coast (Ft. Ross, Timber cove) and muir beach. Looking to explore nearby launches so I can be on the water every weekend!

Trying to learn the bay, but having trouble connecting with halibut! Would be grateful if anyone has tips for the Berkeley flats area.

Hi, welcome.  Not a lot of reports out of da flats unless I’m wrong.  Gotta hunt em down on the ledges or find the bait.  Berkeley is so vast but I wonder about the end of the pier ruins.  Lots of rays and sharks possibly.  Please report if you slay.   :smt006

Going to hit the pier edges soon! Will report back

Definitely lots of rays - have accidentally snagged one recently. Fun fight, released of course.

Looking forward to meeting you there sometime! Just FYI - was at fort ross last weekend with the same intentions, was unfortunately greeted by 6-8ft vis.
