Hi,

I am the second family owner of a 1962 Klepper Aerius II that I inherited from my father.  He lent it to a friend in the early 70s who put the skin away wet and ruined it.  At that time my dad (who was single when I got the boat) decided to use the money he got for it from his friend for more family oriented things.  Although I was a passenger at a young age, I had no memory of the boat or how awesome it was.

Early last decade we purchased a house in Truckee overlooking Boca reservoir.  My dad gave me the kayak and I immediately realized how serious it was and ordered a skin along with a few other parts over the years to keep it in the shape it was meant to be in.

While my dad is now too old to use the boat, we did get some father/son time out on it as memories for both of it.  I also use it with my wife and kiids including my eldest daughter in particular who has become quite the rower.

Thanks for having me on this forum!

Welcome to NCKA :smt006,

I had to look up Klepper Aerius II. That's an interesting boat.

+1

Their sail option looks better than Hobie’s small sail.
I don't like stuff that sucks.
