Been thinking about launching at the mouth of the Petaluma river into San Pablo bay and wondering if anyone here has tried that area? Wondering if possible Halibut bite? Most likely stripped bass, sturgeon?
Any comments?

striper, shark and bat ray very likely to catch right now.

halibut and sturgeon possible but not as common.

You should try it and let us know. Halibut like more water visibility, kinda muddy right now and sturgeon usually come through after rains in the winter.

Keep on driving if halibut is your target. South of Richmond Bridge is where the odds turn in your favor.
