Thanks Al.  I bought mine long ago so it won't be a warranty repair  :smt003. The gaskets are bad and I am sure there are some small holes on it  :smt009. Not sure with the cost for repair and shipping will be.  Maybe I  should "hint" my wife what I want for Father's day  :smt005

It's just how you ask for a repair, is through the warranty site.  I emailed them about a tear in my drysuit, and they told me to pay for a leak inspection and they would fix the tear for free.  Email them they are very good at getting back to you, great customer service.

Thanks again Al for the info.  I will send them an email today.

Check out their product use and care page. I wash mines once in a while when it's really dirty, other than that, just rinse and hang dry.

I haven't had any problems when I wash - after every 3-4 trips. Cold water gentle cycle. Just a little soap. More for smell than ink and blood stains

CCK in Redwood City has replaced rubber wrist gaskets for me. Didn't cost much.

Just got my suit back from Kokatat or rather a brand new suit. Sent it in for their $45 leak test and repair. I didn't have any problems with it. Was just servicing it for safety reasons. There was some fabric bubbling or delamination on the socks which I thought they might want to charge me more to replace.
Without prompting from me they offered to replace the suit for free!
This was my second suit which was also a free replacement. I think I sent my original one in for gasket replacement  and they gave me a new one because they said the fabric was weeping. I had noticed some dampness in my regular interior socks but nothing really worrisome. So other than the basic service fee I've gotten 3 suits for the price of one. Great Company - Kokatat

Kokatat warranty is great -- they fixed a zipper on my dry suit without a problem. Good luck with the repairs.

A manager for their gov't program is also a great steelhead and salmon guide -- Kenny Priest, Fishing the North Coast. I've done a couple float trips with him on the Eel.

Cheers,
Brad

I think the only thing that Kokatat do to improve as a company is to hire Tedski as their tech evangelist…

What can I say... wearing one for 8-10 hours a day 5 days a week will make an impression.  Ours were issued when we first reported to the unit and we'd have to make it last 4 years.  We learned to take care of them.

Kokatat warranty is great ...

Yes to this. On my previous suit, they replaced the zipper free of charge the first time I sent it in. The next time, they said it was delaminating and replaced the whole thing with a new suit. Since they didn't sell that same model anymore, the new one was even a slight upgrade.
Are you pondering what I’m pondering?
