Nice, I enjoy living vicariously through your posts. Once my daughter's summer day camps start up next week, I'm going to try to get out and retrace your steps on some of these routes.

Right on. Hit me up if you want a wingman or some advice on trails. I've been going out just about every weekend.
I highly recommend getting Gaia GPS. I've been using it and Google Earth together to find local "trails".

I started kayak fishing to get away from most of you...

Thanks, I've got Gaia and onX, but had forgotten about Google Earth. Thinking about checking out Bartlett/IVR/Walker Ridge next week. I thought about tagging along on one of your trips, but weekends are usually full of family stuff for me. I think I'll probably camp around the halfway point if I can find a nice spot.

Did ya see any decent spots to go disbursed camping out there? It looks like a pretty cool area overall.

Not much dispersed camping in the section I hit. There's lot's more in the Mendo Nat'l Forest.
I stopped by Deerlick Springs CG and Basin Gulch CG. Both have nice sites directly by streams and I think both are first come first served.
I was there on a Friday afternoon and both were empty. I'd definitely love to stay at Basin Gulch to use as a launch point to the trails there.
