Have fun!

Btw, if you are out of cell range, you can send me an InReach message, and I’ll post an update here.

Just heard from Mr X via his InReach. He reports “cold and windy”. Based on the attached map, any idea how far he is from Cojo Anchorage?

I gave him the GPS coordinates and he says it may be “too far”. Anybody have any other suggestions, as I don’t know anything about that area?

In the car—finally got a chance to look up the distance. I find that the distance is 14.8 miles. Given that his speed is about 3mph, that’s a long time…

I've not heard from Mr. X via his InReach since 7:18pm. It looks like conditions would have been constantly bumpy and a bit windy (like around 10-15 knots), but nothing that he could not handle on his TI. The wind is out of the NW, so that's pretty much ideal for his direction of travel around Pt. Conception. But, the concern is coldness, as the air temp is in the mid 50s, the water temp is cold, and he'd be getting constantly splashed...

Was that his plan to go along the Channel Islands?  Or did he call an audible?
