Short hike last weekend with wife and one of the kids.  No "super bloom", but a wide variety of flowers on display, plus plenty of condors.

Sweet! I’ve never seen a condor in the wild. Thanks for sharing.

Nice! Did you go thru the talus caves? Those are popular with my family...

Did the talus caves years ago.  Came in from the East side this time.  My son did the Bear Gulch cave while I hiked back to get the car.  He loved it.

Picture of a condor where you can see his big ugly head better.  Plus a yucca plant in flower.  Picture doesn't do justice: the flower is over 8 feet tall.

Nice shots Tommy!  We hiked the bear gulch cave and also loved it.  Didn't see a condor that close up though - cool stuff.

Just got back from the Grand Canyon pretty cool watching the Condors flying around the canyon look like small airplanes.

Nice Pics. I've been wanting to get up there and check out the caves for a while. I'm guessing now's the time considering in a month or so the heat might be a it much to have an enjoyable hike.

Only one of the caves is open right now, and if you want to see all of Bear Gulch cave, there are only a few weeks of the year to do so.
