Besides Fleming Meadows and Moccasin point marinas, where do you like to launch when fishing lake Don Pedro? Are there easy to drive to shore launch points closer to scenic/fishing spots? TIA

If you take hy 132 past bonds flat rd and before dollar genral, there is a pull-out.  The lake is close to there. I have never done it myself but have seen people parked there and fishing almost every time I go through there.

I’ve heard rumor that one should use caution when using the more remote launch locations at New Melones due to car break ins and general scumbag activities. Don Pedro being so close by, I wonder if the same is true there? Proceed with caution, don’t leave anything valuable or visible in your rig, and maybe stay close by so you can keep an eye out for people of vehicles that get near your launch/vehicle? Best of luck, I usually just launch near the dam and get a helluva workout when fishing DP.
