Off the Oregon coast 1919. Wish I had a time machine. Pic located on Salty History files. I typed in Salty History Bodega Bay and a plethora of old photos appeared from San Diego to Astoria Oregon concerning fishing and boats and shipwrecks and huge fish catches.

Heard from fish a game someone got one in Big Sur last year and kept it when it was out of season 😒 wouldn’t be surprised to see a few brought back to the harbors this year with the deeper rockfish regulations
