I just got my Bumper Bro keel guard and I'm wondering what methods folks use to mount theirs? I was originally planning to just use Goop, but that would be really difficult to remove in the event I need to replace the keel guard down the road. I've heard of others using 3m tape with a bead of silicone around the top of the guard, but that also seems not ideal because of the space for sand and mud to find its way in. Other considerations: marine grade silicone is like $20 for a small tube, and I'm not sure whether the cheap stuff (GE brand from home depot) is safe for hdpe plastic...  :?

Mel used and recommended "plumbers" goop. It's been solid on mine. GL.

Use lexel, I have a similar keel guard and it holds up well over time. I don’t think you will ever need to replace it honestly.
