i have seen one with my own eyes at the pacifica pier

When was this? Recently? How big was it? I've heard of a few local Pier rats talk about a GW seen around the pier.

not recently...maybe two years ago

Okay, now that I am going to take my "yum yum" yellow (as I heard it called elsewhere in these forums) out, anyone willing to drop any hints as to lures I should get? Went to Fishermans Warehouse and they hooked me up with some rootbeer flake scampi's, neon yellow scampi's, and a couple swimming baits 6" I think.  Another friend of mine said I need to get some hair raiser jigs in white with a white grub tail. Anyone willing to give up a little knowledge??? :smt003  And Blue, would have liked to meet up but will be out of town wed and thurs.  And south side as in off san pedro rock? I know there is a fish out there with my name on it! Thanks all!

Sounds like you're pretty much set!  2-4oz is a good range of leadhead jig sizes to start with if it's not too windy.
