I imagine at some point you visited via https, maybe via a Google search or something.  That cached the more preferred https scheme.  Then when you use autocomplete to visit the site, it chooses https.  Just a shot in the dark.

I hear ya’.  It is presently unviewable on my end.  Actually, when I hit the little code reader icon at the bottom right it says https.  Oh well, NBD…

Not on my phone, but on my laptop yes, Safari, on both devices...
