Good times at the campsite....NCKA has no shortage of Chef's....which a great thing The chow was off da hook and the funny story telling lasted all night....this is how NCKA rolls 

Ben, sorry you had to leave early - thanks for the smirnoff  Sean, Leah and da kids, glad you guys stopped by  James / sharkbait wished you and you wife joined us for dinner - there was more than enough for everyone Terry, you should have joined us too  Juan (Bueller) and Randal, thanks for bringing the firewood 

I'll let the others chime in with what happend during "sleepy time" 

...sleepy time?   I guess?.. the further-up away from the water, the less competent others are! EARPLUGS a MUST!

I got to the campsites at 6:30 to find a sleeping BIGFOOT and a sombering GUITARZAN.The gates were locked so I unloaded the yak and parked in the overflow area and off to meet my 9am. appointment at Crappie Cove for a striper boil=NOT! Blined it from the camp area(2.5mi) to the mouth of the cove and saw a NCKA MOB!
They had no good words of promise,so i tossed the fluke and dropped the Yum'Dad along the points for a 15"LMB that hit my ZOOM fluke as I casted into small baitfish breaking the water in some weeds.Juan and I then went to the deeper area north of the shore/dirt-park-lot and got nothin there.
Paddled back to the cove as the lateshift was heading back to camp(i could have just waited and fished til they paddled by) but NOOOO! i got to paddle for 1.5 hrs straight and into some of the hardest headwind I've had to thus far.(last 20min) to camp.
Unloaded some stuff out of my car/tent, blew-up my sleeping companion and it was kick-it time with the fellas!

OK I finally can post. I arrived home around 8PM sunday night. I woke up Monay with cheeks sore from laughing so hard all  weekend. I arrived Fri around 10:30 to find the park filling quickly, grabbed 2 sites for 1 Fri and 2 for Sat. Ben surprised me when he rolled in around 2pm and the party was on. We set up camp and hit the water around 7pm. paddled around for an hr or so and Ben slammed a nice 27 inch striper right in front of the launch and crowd of bankers. The rest of the eve was spent devouring Anita's striper yum, thanks I owe you, and being serenaded by a combo of bumper boom boom rap by the neighbours and Ben and his acoustic. Ben won hands down with his Stevie Ray Vaughn reminiscent style! brother I'd love to here you play electric. I woke to fishhunter poking his mug into my truck and saying howdy and the fishhunt was on. loaded up slammed some coffee and danish and raced to the lake and felt bad for Rock Hopper left waiting for his ride. lots of yakkers at the launch we all headed out and tried to work our magic, not. I forced myself to use only artificial to work on my skills for the tourney. tried streamers, rattel traps, kastmasters and small soft baits to no avail. the rest of the eve was a circus of story telling, awesome food thanks to Adam, Mike and the rest of the donations, a nice visit from the Whites, a great cigar thanks to Dan, and  midnight antics from animals and camp neighbors alike. it was hard to tell who were the animals and who were the neighbors. I figured out the animals were the smarter ones. once again I was awoken by Adam poking his head in the truck saying "We're rolling" the south launch was the target and we loaded and headed out. I spent the rest of the day watching the masters at work. Adam, Juan, Mooch and Mike all caught fish. not a banner day for most and the live bait won out. the rest caught fish but had to work for them. headed out around 2pm and really wanted to explore more so I stopped at the Sacramento near Ord Bend and tried for Salmon and Striper for 3 hours. not to be this weekend. Great reports and pix...and do you guys know how to cook or what? I'm SO looking forward to BAM III!
