Overnight tent at Del Monte Beach?

Can you set up tent at Del Monte Beach?  Not for 24 hours, just for maybe 8 hours max.  Any idea?  Thanks in advance!

U talkin bout in monterey?  It's unlawful BUT when i was there a month ago i saw multiple homele55 n tents jus north of MBK launch by vball pits. Relocation n sweeps is deprioritized during covd so id guess u cd pull it off 4 multipl nites if u so chose. But bro why wd u so chose

Im sure the tents i saw were overnite bc i saw them while running at 0430.  A crazy woman in a walker was shuffling around the area and yelled "Nice a55" as i passd her lol so u have that to look 4wrd 2 also

LOL, thanks for the tips!  I saw tents there all the time, that's why I ask 

There’s also a few camping sites located both above and below the Del Monte Offramp if you’re interested 

I wouldn’t suggest it overnight. It would be ok during the day if you’re playing on the beach with family etc. The closest camping is Veterans Memorial Campground off Skyline Blvd. They don’t accept reservations but its mostly empty during the week.
