Wow! I’m happy for you family.

Similar story for my supervisor a few years ago. Single late sixties and regretting never settling down and having a family. Gets a call from a private investigator who asks: have you ever been to New Caledonia? Answer: yes when on a sailing trip with friends just out of college. Investigator says: well you may have a son. Picture came first then dna. All of a sudden instant family, never saw anyone so happy, and excited.

With the lifestyle of my youth, this scares the crap out of me! I settled and have 4 kids now though.

Stunning news for the Bushnell family. My younger brother Christopher and his (then) wife adopted a baby back in the 80's.  Emy was from Korea, and we all love her just like all the rest of the neices and nephews in my large clan.  this story came out recently. Turns out she had an identical twin who was adopted out to a family in Florida at the same time.  No idea why these infants were separated.  Emy had NO idea she had a sister, a twin, and IDENTICAL!   Her daughter did a DNA test. When the lost sister did a DNA test the results told her she had a duaghter....But she never had given birth.  Mystery was quickly solved and the two met in person for the first time at th end of March. Pull out the tissues!

Bushy

Thank your brother's family for providing a wonderful family to Emy.

Wow and heck yes!  Glad this was a happy story during these crazy times.

Being from Korea myself, I hear about these type of stories often and even had a friend in college that was adopted from Korea and never knew his real parents.  Just seems like one of those things where the stars aligned perfectly for these 2 to be together again.  Happy for your family Bushy!

Wow...  I love this story !!!

I have twin daughters.   I couldn't imagine ever separating them.        I wonder how closely their lives have followed each other, even though a continent apart?     Similiar interests, etc ?

DNA Testing has given us so much,  in many ways !        I never knew my father , or anything about my family on his side until last year.  A DNA test found a cousin in Minnesota who filled in all the blanks.        Turns out I was named after my grandfather, he and my father were avid spearfishing ab diving long before I was a twinkle...   LOL
