Mike and I started out at around 0630hrs. and headed straight out to the mile marker where we started to catch sanddabs on our sabiki dabed with squid. Mike just kick serious butt on the dabs and since I only had 9 he gave me like 9 more to add to the Sacramento feast today.
We then drifted east where we hooked into rockies all along with my largest being 20 3/4" Red. Ended the day with these Rock fish posted. Two Mackrel for frying and a host of sanddabs.
Thanks for the company Mike lets do that again soon. I haven't signed up for the tournament in Aug. but now seriously thinking about it. Love this sport, Frankfishing

Yup, The larger ones we caught were nearer the yellow bouy.

NICE score of rockies, Frank!
Those are some quality reds.

I think its crazy how much dead vermillion look like canaries in pics. Lots of times I've looked at my dead vermies and thought they "turned into a canary" and had to double-check and rub its chin to make sure it was still a vermillion! Like the second fish above, it looks like a canary but its definitely a red.

Thanks for the report and pics!

PK, Yeah after looking at the photo I hear you on that but check everything and did throw two back. Can't fish 8/26 due to family gathering but the large vermilion was caught between the mile marker and the yellow buoy on an artificial.
