I hope insurance takes care of that.
CHUB had just tricked out his Subaru when the same thing happened at Tahoe, only yours looks showroom new compared to his.
I'm glad you weren't getting out of the truck when it happened.
I wonder with all that's going on if a body shop won't come tow it and return it good as new?

It’s a comp claim.  I had a loose trampoline slam into the wife’s car in our bomb cyclone back in November. Covered, just out the deductible.

Check out the cost differential on a zero dollar comp deductible, we're with Geico and the cost diff per vehicle was about $7 a month!
I'll be using the hell out of it for sure, as comprehensive claims dont count against your insurabality calculation! :)

4 vehicles, assuming $7/vehicle, cost is $28/mo, $336/yr, I would need to make a comp claim once every 3 years to break even.  I've made 2 in 32 years.

I totally get it

Thats the same calculation I did. Amy's commute is down hwy 99, she takes a major rock to the windshield every 3 or 4 months. We've been paying for windshields every year on 2 cars... so this will totally work for us :)

And, where she works in Galt now, she's already had a door ding on her pretty silver car :( so...
