Lots of great inland fishing lakes around Sacramento within 2 hours drive.
A very popular local spot is the Port of Sacramento and you will meet many Kayak Fishermen there.... closest and safest way to get started on Kayak and hook up on some stripers or even salmon in the late fall. Also lots of bass fishing. Hopefully Folsom opens up soon. Bass, Trout, Salmon...
