Another reason to only kayak fish. (Warning: graphic images)

Normally, I go kayak fishing in Monterey, but since I don’t have anyone to go with, I decided to fish from shore with my son.  It’s slow but after a while he lands this nice gopher. Look at that belly?   Is it pregnant?  Dang, I feel bad but my son want to take it home.  So I cut it open and it looks like it is giving birth to something.   Hey, I’m doing a c-section! 

But wait,  that looks like hair?  It’s got feet.  I’m gonna puke. No more shore fishing for me.  Back to the kayak.

Was it just going for a swim ?  Surfing ?

Crazy...I have never heard of that happening. But it’s actually a black & yellow rockfish, not a gopher rockfish. The mammal however, looks like a gopher haha

 
  Maybe, just not seeing the typical teeth.  Also, don't see a huge squirrel tail or long rat tail.  I wonder if maybe a Heron caught it flew off over the water and dropped it for the fish to take?
