Went to June Lake yesterday with limited success. Two small fish caught, one abused hatchery fish and one other, both around 10-12”. The lake was windy all day. My buddy caught one nice fish and I lost another nice one. Long day for little action. According to the people we spoke with, it’s been pretty slow on the eastern slope of the Sierras. We will try Crowley Lake today in hopes of a better experience. Any suggestions for fly fishing the area?

Head up to Mammoth lakes. Smaller bodies of water and easier to fish.

Not much luck at June Lake. Winding throughout the day with little bite action.

Absolutely gorgeous area though, even if the fishing is slow :-)
