OK,it all starts one week ago.my pop's rolls by the shop and asked if I would take him fishing on fathers day,I quickly replied with A hells yes.you see my dad got me into fishing when I was A young in, then  gave it up along with camping when I was nine or ten,so its now 22 years or so later .
He picks me and the dog up at 08:00 and we head for Georgetown. we hit up the Marval for some sammiches, beef jerk and ice, about $17.00.being A nice son I spring, then the hardware store for black rooster tails for $3.29 each I got him four( I figured he would be A little rusty and loose A few in the trees).I enjoyed talking about old slow motorcycle and fast young women till we hit the trail. After A nice two mile walk we got to the old camp that my moms father found in the late forties after the war.
I showed him around  fish camp and told some stories about all the good times that I had had with my uncle Steve who kept me fishing and camping all these years.after A much need snack and hydration we walked the last 1/4 mile to the fishin grounds.
I start setting up my rod, but he had A head start,so I ask him if he remembers the fishermans knot as I flash back to the time when he first taught me. he forgot,so I hooked him up with A quick howto and off we went looking for browns.then he asked me how to fish(he meant the lure)I just about lost it (LMAO) and told him ok I will catch the fish for you ,but all the lil ones are yours he replied with Smart ass.any way I let him get the first two, then I turned on the heat with six total for the day and pops had four all C&R. I don't know how to post pics,Sorry
Hands down the best fathers day for both of us.The best part was reteaching the old boy how to do some thing that he taught me,all them years ago.......PRICELESS
I guess the moral of the story is be careful what you teach us smart ass kids because we might learn you  on some thing you forgot. :smt003
 Happy Fathers Day.

thanks for the props on my report. it was the best day I have had with my father in A long time I also think the free fishing day should be on fathers day.

Sin coast ,AL,Reelfish,Yakuza and every one, please TAKE YOUR DAD FISHING,I swear it will make you feel like A kid again.

It was not on the yuba but A small creek that flows out of Stumpy Meadows lake.

HA, when I was a kid, my dad and I would spend alternate weekends chasing smallies and trout on the creeks, and chasing squirrels through the trees.  Moving way the heck out here has been one of the toughest things, cause I only see him about once a year now...

My 22 and 20 are waiting patiently till sept, though I am not  :smt012

Lets get on the river soon, before the water goes down again...
