scs 870 almost no use. 15 to 40 lb
scs 196-7 same 10 - 25 lb
These rods are over 350.00 each at the store

Just thinning my herd. These are the work rods of cal star.

I'm guessing mono? Sorry I don't know much about Calstar I will read up on them.  I'm looking for heavy rod to use for tuna fishing down south.  Something to pair with a Penn Fathom 40NLD2.

For the line rate these are as good as you get. They have the ceramic guides.

Great deal on some quality rods. Those Socal Series are the bomb. I would buy the 870 in a heartbeat if it was closer to Monterey. The other model, the 196, is a perfect livebait rod for halibut & stripers. But can also handle tuna etc.
