Sea cucumbers are slow-moving, mud-sucking bottom creatures related to sea urchins and sea stars (a.k.a. starfish).  My guess is that Ben accidently snagged it much like you might snag a rock.

I had a sea cucumber attack my jig at Anchor Bay too. Too bad they aren't part of the AOTY.
I think mine beat yours Ben.

Cuke fought for an hour. Took major runs...  breeched.
Wow, talk about miss IDing a fish, I have a color chart on the yak, took too quick a glanse, and was shaking and all pumped up, when I look now its as plain as day. Thanx!
