Sunday
6/10 Down NW 10 early  Local windswell 2.6 ft @ 10 secs  2.5 ft  295 degrees

This is the report for Surfpulse. Usually pretty accurate.  There should be minimal swell issues which will help with the sneaky breaks.  As for the wind we have to keep our fingers crossed.

No wind this morning at all, then once the overcast burned off it popped up to about 10 right now. If this pattern holds tomorrow it should be good in the morning then blow everyone back to the launch.

I second that!  Went out this morning at 8AM from the California Canoe and Kayak on the advice of Mr Magoo whom saw me sitting in lot C waiting for other yakers to come by.  I met up with another guy once I hit the water, Brian was it?  He took me out the harbor jaws, and out in to the big blue.  It was cold in the early hours, but warmed up very quick.  No wind, nice gentle swells, and on my first or second cast, pulled up a nice sized rockie which was released.  I needed to head back by ten to meet up with my buddie so I made my way back.

It should be great tomorrow if its is anywhere near as nice as today :)

I just noticed we're launching from HMB Kayak and not the yacht club this year. Where's the barbecue after?

Hey Chuck How early can we register?

Hey tony, I'm sure Chuck will be there by 5 but the guy to find I believe is DaddyWarbucksBill.  I'm sure Chuck is pretty busy right now gettin all the barbecue stuff together.

Granitedive, the cue is right there at the hmb kayak spot.

If anyone has folding or picnic tables that they can bring it would be greatly appreciated.  ALSO, dont forget your lawn chair if you'd like to sit down.

If you have anything you would like to add to our raffle, just bring it to the derby.   It's all very much appreciated and goes to a very worthy cause -- the future of our sport.

My son Eric and I plan to drive over to visit and watch the festivities.

I'm also bringing a few items for the raffle donated by Holt of California. Can we buy tickets to the raffle if we aren't in the derby?

Al
Thanks Al.  That's nice of you and Holt.  I remember you guys donated last year too.  Raffle tickets will be on sale for anyone.

Sorry, had to cancel due to Eric not feeling well this morning. I'll hold onto the items for the next derby raffle.

Al
