Caught this pretty little guy in Spicer. Probably the most unique pattern I’ve seen. Hybrid maybe?

Whoa, that’s a crazy looking trout. Do they stock lahontan cutthroat in Spicer? Because rainbows can’t cross breed with browns or brookies.

No cutthroat that I’m aware of, wasn’t sure about cross breeding. My initial thought was it had spots similar to a brown

Supposedly they've put Eagle Lake strain and Kamloops strains in Spicer. I caught a number of the latter on a boat-in camping trip there last summer. They had really beautiful coloring on their gill plate and down the side like yours, but didn't have those huge leopard spots across their back - - maybe its a hybrid of those two strains. The eagle lake strain is supposed to be heavily spotted all over.

Whatever, nice catch!

Cheers,
Brad

Looks like a redband from way up North.  They're pretty common in Washington.
