I'm planning to launch from the south side of Monastery Beach around 7:30am tomorrow. The swells forecast looks great and the wind shouldn't be too bad until about 1pm.

.SAT...SW WINDS 5 KT...BECOMING W 5 TO 15 KT IN THE AFTERNOON. WIND WAVES 2 FT OR LESS. NW SWELL 2 TO 4 FT AT 9 SECONDS AND SW 1 TO 2 FT AT 15 SECONDS. PATCHY FOG.

I will probably start at the reef that is off the point on the north end of the beach. Then troll for halibut across to Carmel Point, where I'll catch a bunch more rockfish, before trolling back across the canyon for salmon. Yeah, I said it. Rockfish, lings, halibut, and salmon in the same day. Its possible. Not probable…but possible.

I'll be paddling a blue Drifter. Stop by and say Hi if you see me. I will not have a VHF.

Wish me luck,
PK

Good luck, PK!
I will be diving from somewhere close to Butterfly House, probably starting at 11am or so. If you see a diver with an orange boogie board and some long red floatlines, that will be me.
