Hello,

Just rustling up my last bit of gear before I head out on my maiden sea voyage. I used to kayak fish a lot in rivers/lakes when I lived in the valley. Finally bit the bullet and put together a seaworthy fishing rig. Is anyone else planning on heading out the weekend of the 28-29th? I've done plenty of ocean fishing, but have very limited experience on a kayak. I know I'd feel more comfortable with someone there to stop me before I do something stupid and get into trouble. I got the sidescan all dialed in so I won't be totally useless. :)

Thanks!

Joel

Sure is. Guessing that's a strike against me. A nice lady I used to work with always told me to get in touch with her husband if I ever wanted to go out kayak fishing.

:smt044 Dude I knew it was you when I saw that pic with a brown trout! The last Sat of April is always opening day of trout season so I was planning to hit a local river. But I’d like to go fishing with ya, so I’ll check with my scheduling analyst (err, that nice lady).

If that's not a good weekend for you no worries. I'm flexible if I can get schooled by a pro like yourself. Just let me know.

Got it, we’ll probably hit Carmel unless the halibut or salmon bite picks up in Monterey.
