Swellrider, thanks for the clarification. Will take your advice and go the longer route when given the opportunity to come up. Sure would like to join you guys when conditions are good.

Bob it almost doesn't matter. It's a tough ride no matter how you go. We camped on saturday but the weather shut us down. A good window is rarity on that coast. Hats off to all the fellas that came and saw for themselves the awesome Cape mendocino.
