Gary

WTG. PM me if you want to head down to Monterey this Saturday. Looks like Big Sur is blown out and may have to fish MBK or SW.

Nice catches Gary!   You sure followed through on what you said at ARW.  I'd love to get down there sometime too, maybe when gas hits $3 again or when hell freezes over, whichever happens 1st, but my money is on the latter.  Or after i win the lottery.  Or this Fall when BH is too sketchy, for uhm.. whatever reason.

Can't wait for June!  See ya and enjoy that other other white meat!

Actually the drive from the east bay is just a little further than the Bean and the launch and paddle is much safer.  If I were to bring a newbie this would be an ideal spot.  Scott (GB2) mentioned this to me and his advice was right on.  The big factor for me was that this area is due to be closed to fishing so you folks better get a trip in before it goes away.  Its an awesome diving and yakking area, clear water, lots of fish, protected and right off of the world famous Pebble Beach golf course.

I was wondering how I got into the lings and no one else did but after reading the trip report from Fuzz and ChuckE I realized that its because ChuckE, Mooch, Freddie and JTF taught me well.    :notworthy:  For those of you that want to learn from the best they're the ones you should follow.  Adam I want to follow you around the lakes, the bass must cringe when you start swinging those senkos.

In June we'll be looking at the challenge of the Bean.  I told Kimo we would meet him there and show him the spots.  Here's where you earn your fish and test your surf skills.

Tight lines,

Gary

Thanks for the info Gary - I will keep ana eye out on Hookups, especially on days when the outer coast is too rough.  I do want to make it down there before it's closed off.

Yeah, hope we hook it up with the professors soon!  Chuck, Harold, Freddie, JTF, Mooch... those guys really go about their business, and make it look so easy!
