Went diving off the yak in Carmel today.  I was blessed with my second freediving lingcod.  Fish was in 28-30' of water, never even twitched.

Great pics!  Those things fight like hell on a line, and make a mess of a net with their death rolls , it amazes me you didn't get chomped- did you shoot it in the brain/spine?
It must be a rush guessing whether it's going to get you before (or after) you get it!

Thanks Guys, I couldn't stop smiling all the way home.

The shot went in one cheek and out the other side of his head.  He never even twitched. :smt001

Weighed just under 18lbs on Bogagrip when I got home.
