You also need a bait tank or they die QUICKLY.  Tubes and buckets just don't cut it.

Sean, is this a for sure thing?  Would fewer fish in the tube help at all?

Nope.  They simply don't well in a tube.

Also, the buckets you mention not working well is one with an aerator?  Sorry, I should have included this in my last post...

By bait tank I mean bait tank.  Recirculating pump etc.  Unfortunately buckets, bubblers, tubes etc simply won't work...BTDT.  Shad LOVE to die. 

I don't even handle them when I net them.
