I strongly suggest you visit Kayak Connection in SC Harbor and try out a couple of their rental kayaks...to get an idea of what type/kind you want.

If you are new to kayak fishing then definitely go test demo as many kayaks as you can to see which one best suits you if you plan on getting new one or look on CL for used one. Also, read up on safety and requirements. it is a MUST. priority is to get back home safely. catching fish is bonus.
