Does anyone bass fish in the port in the shallow stuff where the old wrecked structures (or pieces of old barges) are?

When I would fish that area, I would throw a few things - Ive caught fish over there before but I find more success finding points and shelfs for bass.

A couple times but I always time it wrong.  Usually, the tide is out which doesn't give you many options since it's super shallow.  The last time i went out there i caught a couple using a crawler.

Try spooning just to the west of the Washington Boat ramp....there's a drop off going from around 6 feet to 20 feet.....drift live bait or drop Bladerunner spoons on the deep side......I've also found success by the tug boats in 20 feet of water.  You can catch bait out there (make sure to stay 100 feet away from the dock or ships) or buy minnows at Penny's Bait near the port......Good luck.
