Had to do some OT work on Saturday AM so was in the office from 6am-10am, then raced home to pick up girls and Ana and Ana's grandma and head to SC for Jayme's ballet recital.

Super fun seeing her all dressed up and on stage!

After we headed to Burger. for some food and cold beverages with some friends and Ana's sister and niece.

Then to a birthday party for a two year old whose parents are friends of ours.

Went to bed early on Saturday so I could get up at 4am to hit the surf at first light.

Went to a spot I haven't dove before cuz there was a report of a lot of bait in the area...

Unfortunately the swell forecast was off and the rollers were STRONG and after getting pounded HARD a few times I called it quits and let the waves wash me back onto shore.

Had a beer and watched the ocean for awhile and NCKA member bowmen showed up and we chatted for awhile. Great seeing you dude and hope you had better luck than I did!!

Went home and showered and changed and got some cute gifts and cards from the girls, then headed over to East End Pub for lunch and beers.

When we left the pub we saw a sign at the Massage Parlor next door for $20 sixty minute foot/head/neck/shoulder massage if you bought 5 or more so we (Ana, Grandma, Jayme, Valentina and I) all went in and got the hour long massage!!

Was a LOT more than I was expecting for $20, and apparently I fell asleep at one point and was snoring so I guess I was very comfy.  :smt005 :smt044

When we left the massage place I checked my phone and had a message from a buddy telling me about a HOT halibut bite in shallow at a local beach....

Checked with wife and she said to go for it, so got in car, and headed down and jumped back in ocean!

I put in about 1.5 hours of staring at sand before deciding that was enough, and that I wanted to get back to the family.

They had cruised down to Monterey harbor to chill on my buddy Martin's sailboat so I drove over and joined them and we played on SUPs and the small RIB before it got dark and then we headed over to El Torito for dinner and drinks before heading home.

Best (and most packed!) Father's Day ever, and I feel very fortunate and grateful to have had such an awesome day with my family!!

Sounds like a great weekend.  Only thing better would have been a striper and a halibut in the Orion cooler.

That seems like a succinct summary of his weekend.
