OK, Vantage seats on Hobie. I used to have Revo 2013 at first didnt like it, I thought it was the seat. Won (smokeonthewater) suggested to adjust the pedal and I did. Worked well. Having a sciatica concerns me on flat lower seat. I was gonna go for the vantage seat till I've started hearing mix feedbacks, like Revo got more tippy. Can anyone share some of your thoughts?

Pros and Cons between Vantage seat on Revo 13.

Thanks.

I have a 2015 Revo 13. The vantage seat in the lowest position is fine. It is comfortable for hours and keeps you dry for the most part  I've been out in some nasty conditions in it and have never gone for a swim except on surf launch/landing. I think it's a pretty big improvement over my other, wetter rides.

On rough days, I do notice that it is slightly more tippy with the new seats.  However, the new seat allows you to be more comfy for those long days on the water and my back doesn't hurt as much anymore so I say vantage seat.
If you ain't first, you're last.

The vantage seat makes the Revo 13 more tippy and far less responsive. I prefer the old seat, as it is comfortable for me.

In addition, I find that the seat drain on vantage seat revos is insufficient, and it's a colder ride on a cold windy day since the space under your seat circulates air.

I didn't care for the Vantage seat during an extended test drive.  It did not feel more tippy to me, but it felt "twitchy" because my butt was not in contact with the hull when using body English.

I'm told it's simply a matter of time-in-the-seat to get familiar with it.

I decided to not go with the hope that I'd eventually like the seat.  Most choose to go ahead and end up really liking it.

And that didn't help you one bit, did it?   :smt001

I love the Vantage seat, higher comfort level over the old seat.  I set adjustments to the lowest setting closest to the floor to help my center of gravity.  Took very little time to get use to and no problem in rough weather.

The seat is much comfortable than the old one. My only complain is the protruding parts in front where it connects with the cable. Those hit my posterior thighs when saddling my legs on the side.

My back & legs feel much better than they did after 6+ hours OTW...compared to my 2010 Revo. Perhaps a little tippier, but part of that is because I'm not fully connected to the yak. And I also get annoyed by the plastic on the front/sides of the seat, rubbing on my hammies.

Anything is better than those old hobie seats.  :smt013 I modified my Outback with the Browning seat and even with a bad back, I can sit in it for a long period of time. Only problem is, I become a sail and I drift around a lot.

One good thing, is I can stow the terminal tackle I am using under the seat for easy access so that is a plus.
