Rough road 

That's a year+ of road rehab.  wonder if the big sur fire predisposed the area to slide on top of all the rains. 

thx for sharing, was very curious about the condition.  your pix offer a sense of scale not ascertainable by the aerial shot

Wish I could join you, but most likely, I need to be up at my River doing some upkeep.

FYI to others. Nacimiento - Fergusson road is the only reasonable way to access the 15 or so mile stretch between the Bridge closure and the Slide closure.
Lime Creek campground was full, but Kirk Creek campground had openings, over the holiday weekend, which shows that traffic is really down. If you are willing to drive that road, this summer would be being a good time for a less crowded visit

They have fenced off the Army base so they don't do checks any more
