I found coordinates to the pebble beach restricted area. Is there a certain radius I'm supposed to stay away from the coordinates?  How do I know the full restricted area from the coordinates?

Identify Location: 36° 33.385′ N, 121° 58.427′ W

The easiest way to mark the reserve boundaries is to simply place a waypoint at each of the corners (then change the icon to skull & crossbones haha).
Turn on FF; open gps map; move cursor to coordinates listed on dfw site; hit enter twice (with Lowrance brand).

Got it. Thank you. One last question. I know the red is protected but is the blue area protected as well. Looks like it is but I heard it wasn't. Wanted confirmation to avoid trouble.

In a sense, it is protected, but open for finfish.  It's listed right below the Pinnacles.

https://www.wildlife.ca.gov/Conservation/Marine/MPAs/Network/Central-California#27248554-carmel-bay-state-marine-conservation-area

It is unlawful to injure, damage, take, or possess any living, geological, or cultural marine resource for recreational and/or commercial purposes, with the following specified exceptions:
The recreational take of finfish is allowed.
The commercial take of giant kelp (Macrocystis pyrifera) and bull kelp (Nereocystis spp.) by hand is allowed under the following conditions:
A kelp harvester with a valid license issued pursuant to Section 165 may take no more than 44 tons of kelp from the portion of Administrative Kelp Bed 219 within the Carmel Bay State Marine Conservation Area in any calendar month.
Duplicate landing records must be kept on board the harvest vessel in accordance with the requirements of Section 165.

So don't keep that sea cucumber you accidentally hook in that area!

With lowrance create a route as mentioned move cursor to dfg coordinates hit enter and move to next coordinates. Follow the lowrance manual for creating routes.

Super helpful to have that on my gps I fish there often.
Fishing is my escape kayaking is my passion.

I'm now working on carefully drawing all DFG closures on the OpenStreetMap, which is kinda Wikipedia of the map. On the web this will look like:

http://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=13/36.5375/-121.9752

I haven't yet drawn north to Santa Cruz, but to the south all is covered. The map can be uploaded into smartphones and other devices, to be used offline. I don't know about Lowrances, but for Garmins this works.

On my simple GPS, I just enter the numbers and then make a route out of them - it shows up as a box, and I can zoom in to see where I am.
If you're having trouble with the GPS,  just remember that the closest corner of the box is in or almost in the kelp near the Tower House - you'll know which one that is when you see it as you round Pescadero Point.  The  shore angles away from that side of the box as you head further from that corner, so you're pretty safe after a short distance if you're fishing in or near the kelp.  The closest side of the box runs (very) roughly between the Tower House and Pt. Lobos on the other side of the bay.
And don't assume that because you see other kayakers or boats out there that they are outside of the box - I've seen several times.
