Hello Joe P,
I am looking forward to the upcoming rockfish season A LOT! There will be plenty of chances to hookup and fish with other NCKAers.
RF season opens May 1st. Until then, salmon are the main target.

Sounds like there will be a bunch of us fishing for salmon out of Moss Landing this wknd.

Joe,

Look at the Salmon fishing article at the website home page and it will provide all of the details you need.  Mooching or trolling rigs are the main options.  Most use anchovies with FBR or other rotating bait holders for trolling.  Barbless circle hooks are required for mooching.  You can also troll Apex or Crocodle lours.  Remember to crimp the barbs on any hooks used to troll for salmon.  Hope to see you there.

Otherwise as PK mentioned, we will be hitting the rockfish and lingcod hard in this area come May 1.
