Thanks Bushy...fer raining on my BH parade.  It's not just BH, it has to be everything within 10 miles of Ano Nuevo. It's a tough call, because no matter what, the ocean is not our "front yard," and we are extending ourselves into treacherous territory when go to play there, but then there is the whole matter of choosing one's times and places wisely....

You need to stay off the bay too. http://www.norcalkayakanglers.com/index.php?topic=68591.0

As crazy as it seems, there are actually two recorded reports of GWS attacks near the cannery in Alameda in the late 1800's and early 1900's.

Supposedly, they were dumping blood and animal discards from meat packing directly into the water in that area so it's not too surprising.

I live in A-Town, and didn't know about this.  What could possibly go wrong with dumping blood & guys straight into the Bay???
