it's a coffer dam i think. no power generation. Built to allow auburn dam footings to be built. Also to catch silt. if i remember correctly it goes over dam to river below... then on to folsom...

No. The North Fork (Clementine) dam was built in the late 30sto catch sediment. Auburn Dam wasn't proposed until the 60s.

Correct, no hydro.

Clementine Darn (North Fork Darn) is a spillover variable arch darn. It was built by the Army Corps in 1939 to catch debris, presumably mining and logging associated debris.
