To make taxes fair, have a federal sales tax.  Rich people spend more, they'll pay more taxes.  Poor people spend less, they pay less taxes.  No deductions for anything. 

Also, end all tax on resell items.  I'm thinking about cars for example.  A car, worth $10,000 is taxed about $1,000.  Sell it for $8,000 and it's taxed again.  Sold again and... it's taxed yet again!  How many times is the government collecting tax on an item that already had it's tax paid when it was new?  Many when it comes to resell.  So, no tax on used items ever.
