Salmon
White Seabass
Halibut
Scallops
Lingcod

It's hard to pick only five. Mackerel, herring, and albacore deserve honorable mention as well.
May the fish be mighty and the seas be meek...

For fish that I get spearing...

I think my list incorporates some of my personal feelings as well...sexiness of fish, quality of hunt, versatility of meat, yield per fish, ease of cooking/prep etc...

1. Striped Bass from the Ocean
2. Medium LingCod (28-34 inches)
3. Cabezon
4. Sheephead (for sashimi and ceviche)
5. Vermilion Rockfish

 :smt006

Sincerely,

Jim

WSB
Bluefin Tuna
Surf Smelt
Albacore
Mackerel

But our best seafood will have to be an epic battle between Spot Prawns and Abalone.
