If you do the template let us know how it goes, I don't trust all these other keyboard hooligans I've wanted to do a seadek kit, but am scared of screwing up the template.

I want to do mine in bubble wrap. Hell with stealth, shit gets boring out there when the bite dies. Be cool to pop a few bubbles and wiggle busting a bunch of them. Maybe, it is the sound that will trigger a feeding frenzie! Never know.....

If you do the template let us know how it goes, I don't trust all these other keyboard hooligans I've wanted to do a seadek kit, but am scared of screwing up the template.

 I used poster board to make templates for my boats.
Id shape small pieces to fit the workspace lay out. Then tape them all together for the complete mat shape.
Id then tape that onto a large single piece of poster board, trace around it then cut out the complete template. I put that on to what ever skin material I had chosen and went to work.
It took time and some trial and error, but there wasn't a lot of information or interest that I could find.
Now it looks like it may become standard issue for some of the newer main stream SOTs.

 Im considering a "new" kayak right now and Ill try some of the template techniques from these videos, but Im not sure if I will use one of the manufacturers products or just cut from stock material.
Every boat that I plan on fishing out of will be outfitted with some sort of grip/stealth/lounge upgrade.
It makes my day that much more comfortable and I value being silent on the water.

Anyway, I hope the info gathered here helps someone who wants to do this to their boat.

Has anyone here tried the Seadek for a Old Town Predator 13?

It is interesting, for the 13XL they have a lot of little pieces to cover the raised floor, but the one for the normal 13 is just a large sheet that covers over the ridges in the floor.
