Caught a few cats & crappie. Enjoying the Hobie i11s. I gotta say this fishing machine is a very comfortable & quiet ride. There's nothing restricting leg & feet movement. Also I've noticed that it's very quiet while I'm moving around to reach tackle, a different rod, etc.

I mounted up turbo fins, a modified/shortened sailing rudder, added two scotty mounts to my crate for rod holders, & added a combo FF/GPS.

So far my only wish is that the i11s had dedicated transducer mounting. I ended up slinging the transducer off the side with some 1/4" aluminum rod. This doesn't seem to slow the kayak any but it could potentially catch up on debris. Luckily moving forward to access it is easy due to the i11s being so stable & I didn't have any debris get hung up on it so far.

Going against the wind at a slow cruising pace I was averaging 2.5-3mph. Later with the wind at my back I was cruising along at 3-4mph. If I pedaled fast I could exceed 5mph but not for long. Kinda hard to say exact speeds due to it was windy while I was OTW.

Would love to have one to drag around on vacations to Montana, Wyoming, Idaho. The speed is impressive. Wondering if it is at all tippy?

I demod the i11 at Rollins and Hobie has made a huge improvement with the inflatables. When I had the i9 I tried all different transducer, battery, and head unit mounting options and settled on just mounting the transducer to the rudder, battery in a pouch up front, and head unit to the glue on mount. I also tried the ram transducer arm which is the 1/4" alumiumn rod and attachment mounts. Never had a problem with debris but thought the rudder was an easier place.

Man, it sure looks like you're having ton of fun on that new hobie.  Been watching all your adventures on the i11s, I'm so tempted to get one!

Thanks for all the reports and feedback on the i11s and rigging!

It's not tippy at all in the low seat position. This coming weekend I will try the high seat position and report back. After having it out in the ocean for the Rockfish opener my gut feeling is even the high seat position will be ok for most days on the ocean or lake. And the following weekend I will be able to do a side-by-side comparison with my Outback versus the i11s for speed and stability. Stay tuned.
