This is a clear rubber net I got on Amazon for about $10. I then cut it out into a strip & secured it to the hog trough with a SS screw & nyloc nut. Should be able to lay a fish on the board, loosely wrap the material around a couple times, & take a pic without the fish being able to jump off the board.  :smt006

Remember to practice safe knots, because big fish don't just break your line, they also break your heart.

So far the clear rubber net is working great! I had lost a really nice spotted bass about a month ago which is what prompted me to find a solution. Today I returned to the scene of the 'escape' & used my new net to photograph an even larger bass. I would recommend this to other anglers who take, or want to take, their pictures OTW. I had contemplated going ashore for pics but decided that was too time consuming.

I'd say the addition of the clear net was a great success Salty. What an innovative idea and less stressful on the fish! Congrats on the Oinker and thanks for the good idea.

I like that idea. Not that I ever catch fish on tournament day.  :smt044 Would it help to begin the net at 2or 3 inches to avoid obscuring the zero mark and mouth open/closed?

Yeah, you don't even a 1/2 of 1/2 of 1/2 of mm showing, or a shadow that could be perceived as a mouth opening. Who knows...someone might want to be a dick and dq a good fish for that. Just saying...not from personal experience or anything.
